Just one year after making a public commitment to a fully flexible remote work policy, Lyft brought in a new CEO, David Risher, who announced a large round of layoffs and a 'return to the office' initiative. Kristin Sverchek, Lyft’s President of Business Affairs, understood that the executive team tied this decision to financial stability and growth, but knew that she needed manage employee morale and maintain the popular ridesharing company's distinctive customer-focused culture through this transitional period.
